To ensure the accurate coding of diagnoses which fall into the HCC model as required by CMS for Medicare Advantage plans.  To ensure documentation of diagnoses meets the requirements set forth by CMS and the Official ICD-10-CM Guidelines for Coding and Reporting.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coding Program Certificate, or 2 years of equivalent experience
  • Proof of 10 hours ICD-10-CM training or AAPC ICD-10-CM Assessment certificate
  • CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physician) or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CPC-A or CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder)
  • ICD-10-CM Coding knowledge
  • Proven analytical. High attention to detail. Efficient. Flexibility. High work ethic. Team building
  • Proven ability to speak write and understand English
  • Demonstrated excellent problem solving, written and verbal skills
  • Proven ability to work with people of various educational, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HEDIS experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare and other government or third-party coding rules
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
