Position Overview

The Sales Porter supports the dealership’s Sales Department by managing vehicle flow, maintaining inventory presentation, and assisting with customer-facing vehicle coordination. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in automotive dealership operations while supporting a high-performing sales environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Preparation: Clean, fuel, and stage vehicles to ensure they are ready for display, customer viewings, and test drives.

  • Guest Support: Assist customers with vehicle pick-ups, deliveries, and general, non-sales inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Lot Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales lot to support safety and presentation standards.

  • Team Support: Safely move vehicles for test drives, sales staging, and deliveries, as assigned.

  • Inventory Check-Ins: Receive and inspect incoming inventory, noting visible damage and confirming vehicles meet dealership standards.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other job-related duties consistent with the Sales Porter role in support of dealership operations, as assigned by management.


RequirementsDriving Assignments Only
  • Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record

  • Ability to safely operate automatic vehicles (manual transmission preferred but not required)

  • Driving responsibilities are assigned based on role level and operational needs

General Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

  • Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and dealership staff

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
