Job description

Responsible for forecast modeling and product planning activities associated with customers, medications and pharmacy related items that will enable Parkview Health to meet service and fiscal objectives. Creates and maintains forecast models for pharmacy needs throughout Parkview Health, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from multiple Supply Chain resources and utilizing software applications. Utilizes analytical and purchasing knowledge to effectively plan future increases or decreases of product demands by customers. Challenges other departmental teams through research and analysis of trends and economic changes, which can save an organization from loss of profitability because of overstocking, under stocking, and changes in customer needs.
 
Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
 
Licensure/Certification: APICS or other forecasting certification preferred. Indiana Pharmacy Technician License. National Technician Certification preferred.
 
Experience: Requires two years previous experience in inventory or production planning, as well as knowledge of process improvement. Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement, and planning. Must have experience in statistical software. Future fulfillment industry and/or pharmacy experience is a plus. Demonstrates proficiency in statistics, forecasting, forecast methodologies, and demand planning process and metrics. Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, critical thinking, detailed decision making, communication, teamwork, and Microsoft Office skills.
