Manual Machinist – Turning, Milling & Grinding (Position)

Primary Flow Signal is looking for a seasoned Manual Machinist with strong experience in manual turning, milling, and grinding. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled on manual equipment, understands tight-tolerance work, and can independently produce accurate parts from drawings, sketches, or instructions.

 

Position Responsibilities:

·         Operate manual engine lathes, including long-bed manual lathes

·         Operate Bridgeport-style manual milling machines

·         Perform surface grinding, including Blanchard grinding

·         Machine parts to close tolerances using manual equipment

·         Read and interpret mechanical drawings

·         Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, setups, and machining methods

·         Inspect work using standard measuring tools

·         Maintain quality, accuracy, and good workmanship throughout the process

Skills & Qualifications:

·         Strong manual lathe experience

·         Strong manual milling experience

·         Grinding experience preferred

·         Ability to hold tight tolerances on manual equipment

·         Ability to read blueprints and inspect your own work

·         Good mechanical judgment and attention to detail

·         Reliable, professional, and safety-mindedFork truck experience a plus

·         Attention to close detail and a commitment to safety
