The candidate will participate in a new long-term effort to consolidate a diverse set of systems into a new cohesive solution that improves system manageability and security, while providing enhanced capability with a strong focus on improved user experience. The candidate will be a part of the early stages of this high visibility effort and help build a sound foundation to ensure the project’s continued success.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with current owners and administrators to understand existing systems, requirements, and problem areas.
  • Provide direct input for organization long-term efforts and visions for future architecture and design.
  • Provide system administration functions to fix critical problems or implement stop-gap solutions as part of the transition to the new consolidated architecture.
  • Translate existing requirements and use-cases of current systems into scalable and supportable long-term solutions.
  • Implement and support final solution(s).
  • Participate in frequent internal engineering and strategy team meetings.
  • Build direct customer relationships to improve organizational feedback loop.

Required Skills:
  • Extensive RedHat (RHEL), CentOs Linux, and/or UNIX experience.
  • Experience managing NiFi data flows.
  • Experience with VMWare or associate technologies (ESX, NSX, VSAN, KVM, Nutanix or other).
  • Ansible or other automation platform/methodology experience.
  • System scanning/hardening – STIGS/CIS Compliance.
  • Proficiency installing, hardening, patching, and backup/restoration of Linux systems.
  • Understanding of system monitoring, health/status, and best practice security methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments

Desired Skills:
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS familiarity.
  • Understanding of Active Directory or FreeIPA.
  • Familiarity with nginx, HAProxy, or other load balancer technologies.
  • Python experience.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitLab.
  • Storage Technology experience including hyper converged, SAN, or IP based storage.
  • Past experience supporting managed attribution programs.
  • RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) and/or RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) certification.


Experience/Education:
9 yrs. experience in System Administration


Clearance:
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
