Client Technologies Administrator II
Location: New Haven, CT (100% On-Site)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Client Technologies Administrator II to support the planning, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems within a large university environment. This role provides technical support to faculty, staff, and students while partnering with IT teams, vendors, and departmental stakeholders to ensure reliable technology services and seamless user experiences.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Windows and macOS environments, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver technology support services including software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, consultation, user assistance, and training.
  • Resolve routine to moderately complex technical issues using established procedures and best practices; escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software supporting network connectivity, backups, server access, and departmental operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and communicate IT policies, procedures, and recommendations to end users.
  • Support faculty, staff, and students in multi-platform environments including Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
  • Coordinate technology services and projects with IT professionals across multiple departments.
  • Develop and maintain procedural, planning, and end-user documentation.
  • Partner with software vendors and application owners to plan, deploy, secure, and troubleshoot technology solutions.
  • Maintain support documentation and key contacts for specialized software and hardware resources.
  • Coordinate technology requirements related to office moves, renovations, equipment refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Deliver peer training and knowledge-sharing to support cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting desktop technologies, client systems, or IT infrastructure in a professional environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity.
