Job Title: Trims Assistant
Department: Sourcing

Reports To: Director of Trims

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trims Assistant to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of garment branding trims and packaging. In this role, you will lead trim sample approvals, maintain the physical trims library, and manage accurate data within our PLM system. As a central point of contact, you will drive clear communication between global vendors and internal teams across Design, Merchandising, Graphics, Purchasing, and Sales.

Key Responsibilities

Trim Approvals & Quality Control

  • Independently review and approve hundreds of branding trims and packaging samples across multiple product categories and brands.
  • Evaluate submits for precise color accuracy, physical quality, graphic layout consistency, and adherence to design size and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot aesthetic or material variances directly with vendors to keep production on schedule.

Cross-Functional Communication & Vendor Liaison

  • Direct vendor sample comments and technical feedback to global trim suppliers.
  • Act as the central liaison between Design, Merchandising, Graphics, Purchasing, and Sales to collect artworks, coordinate sample reviews, ensure comments are submitted accurately and on time, and quickly resolve any production issues as they arise.
  • Track approval timelines to prevent bulk production delays.

PLM & Data Management

  • Manage the complete trim lifecycle in PLM, keeping prices, material weights, lead times, and approval statuses accurate in real time.

Library & Physical Sample Management

  • Maintain and organize a standardized physical library of approved trims and packaging.
  • Ensure physical standards are updated, labeled, and accessible to internal teams for development and reference.

Qualifications

  • .1-3 years of prior experience in apparel product development, production, or trim management is ideal, but entry-level candidates with strong relevant skills will be considered.
  • .Experience with PLM software, Work Front and Google Sheets is preferred, but not required.
  • .Strong eye for color accuracy, detail, and material quality standards.
  • .Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional and global vendor alignment.
  • .Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with high submit volumes.
