Salary range (but not limited to):

74,800 - 91,400

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

About the role

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst II to join our growing team!

As a Business Analyst, you play a key role as an interpreter and facilitator between the various business units, IT, and the quality assurance team. You will be at the heart of a small team whose sole mission is to create and continuously improve the features of our policy management application-so much so that the product is the best not only in the insurance industry, but on the web in general. At Intact, we benchmark ourselves against the very best customer experiences, period.

What you'll do here:

  • Analyze business needs to define IT solutions.
  • Facilitate/participate in business requirements workshops to specify IT solutions.
  • Perform impact analyses and effort estimates to recommend, obtain approval for, and document the IT solution using effective methods, interacting with both business users and the IT project team.
  • Support the development of solutions and the technical analyses performed.
  • Support quality assurance activities and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support the Product Owner in defining and prioritizing the product backlog.
  • Document user stories for developers and the quality assurance team.
  • Identify and communicate impacts on business processes to support change management within business units, using a train-the-trainer approach.
  • Build and maintain functional documentation that is robust, accurate, and accessible to all business stakeholders.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
  • Project experience in a Scrum environment.
  • Experience with and knowledge of web-based applications.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
