Job description

Summary of Position:

Responsible for the overall support and maintenance of the HTGSS IT systems. Supports, maintains, and enhances Hyundai Transys' core infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, failover solutions, ID services, and endpoint systems. This role ensures the stability, availability, and security of corporate systems through proactive management, monitoring, documentation, and adherence to operational standards. Working closely with the HAEA team and employees at each branch office.

  • Performs additional assignments / duties as assigned

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Server administration and management: Oversee the operation, performance, and availability of Windows/Linux Server/Storages, including roles such as Active Directory, DNS and other server-related functionalities.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related issues on Windows/Linux Server/Storages. Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques and tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Windows/Linux Server/Storage Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, install, and maintain to ensure proper setup and functionality. Regularly apply patches, updates, and security measures to maintain system integrity
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies for Windows/Linux Server/Storages to ensure data integrity and facilitate timely recovery in case of system failures or data loss
  • Availability/Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor server availability, performance, analyze performance metrics, and proactively optimize server resources to ensure efficient and responsive operations.
  • Administer different monitoring systems (Zabbix, Nagios, ITOM)
  • Administers the operational side of network access (NAC).
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory status, purchase history, and warranty information for all regional Windows/Linux server/storage assets. Perform other necessary tasks.
  • Capacity Planning and Scaling: Collaborate with IT leadership to assess server capacity needs and plan for future growth. Recommend hardware upgrades or additions, as necessary.
  • Change Management: Adhere to established change management processes when implementing changes or updates to Windows/Linux Server/Storage environments. Ensure changes are well-documented and communicated.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to procure, support, and maintain server hardware and software. Manage vendor relationships and service agreements.
  • Evaluate/handle customer request based on agreed roles & responsibility
  • Act as a liaison for tasks/project execution between customer, project team, and HAEA Infra Ops team to process complex tasks
  • Manage assigned tasks and quickly respond to and process support tickets using ITSM in a timely and reliable manner.
  • Project Support: Contribute to IT projects involving Windows/Linux Server/Storage environments, providing technical expertise and support for planning, implementation, and testing.

Technical/ Computer Skills

  • Korean bilingual is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of infrastructure including servers, networks, and storage
  • Technical network knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Firewall, AP etc.)
  • Must be proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
