This is a remote role strictly for candidates within the United States.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Analyst to join ORIONYX ENGINEERING LTD. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing our IT systems, ensuring that technology resources align with business goals. You will work closely with various teams to identify technical needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support:
    • Provide remote technical support to employees, assisting with hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Respond to support requests via email, chat, or ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
  2. System Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Monitor IT systems and applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
    • Perform regular maintenance and updates on software and hardware systems, including backups and security patches.
  3. Data Management:
    • Assist in managing data security and integrity, implementing best practices for data storage and retrieval.
    • Collaborate with teams to ensure proper data handling and compliance with data protection regulations.
  4. User Training and Documentation:
    • Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and documentation for IT systems and processes.
    • Conduct remote training sessions for staff on new tools, software, and best practices.
  5. System Analysis and Optimization:
    • Analyze current IT processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
  6. Project Coordination:
    • Assist in IT projects related to system upgrades, software implementations, and other technology initiatives.
    • Work with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  7. Vendor Management:
    • Assist in the evaluation and selection of IT vendors and service providers.
    • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot issues and ensure service level agreements are met.
  8. Network Administration:
    • Support network configuration and troubleshooting, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for remote employees.
    • Assist with the implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
  9. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT.

  10. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare reports on IT system performance, user satisfaction, and incident resolution metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Analyst, IT Support Specialist, or in a similar role, preferably within an engineering or technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, JIRA, Asana).
  • Familiarity with engineering software and applications relevant to the industry.
