Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Global Trade Analyst - level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse talent. This position will report to the Manager of Global Trade of the Launch and Exploration Division.

This individual will work preferably in one of the following locations:

  • Chandler, AZ

  • Gilbert, AZ

  • Redondo Beach, CA

  • Falls Church. VA

  • Elkton, MD

  • McLean, VA

  • Dulles, VA

  • Linthicum, MD

  • Promontory, UT

This is a hybrid position. It is not a virtual/telecommuting position. No relocation will be provided. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Roles and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing guidance and interpretation of USG regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), Anti-boycott Regulations, US Census and Customs Regulations.

  • Working with various functional areas (Contracts, Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Engineering, New Business, etc.) to determine their export/import needs

  • Preparing and submitting necessary export/import authorization requests required to support international programs and managing all post approval activities such as recordkeeping, reporting requirements, approvals for data exports and international shipping authorizations.

  • Assisting Global Trade Manager to develop and implement appropriate strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies.

  • Formally presenting in meetings, trainingenvironments and responding to questions from management, employees,customers and vendors related to export/import compliance.

  • Supporting corrective action implementation and negotiating export/import control issues with internaland external customers and resolve issues in a win/win manner

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in import or export trade compliance and/or international contracts. Or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of experience in import or export trade compliance and/or international contracts.

  • Basic knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other US Government Export Regulations.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Customs/Census, FAR/DFARS, TINA and other US Government Regulations.

  • Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts and associated scope of work and requirements.

  • Knowledge of and proficiency with DESCARTE OCR EASE Export & Import Global Trade Compliance Software.

  • Experience providing training to export licensing personnel and functional requesters.

  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $113,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
