With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic East Boston team at Boston Logan International Airport.


Job Summary

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone starting a career in facility maintenance. In this role, you'll handle basic, non-hazardous upkeep tasks that keep our airport facility running smoothly, while working alongside experienced technicians and building the on-the-job hours, skills, and security clearance needed to grow into higher-paying, more technical roles. No prior facility maintenance experience or trade certification is required, we're looking for reliable, safety-minded people who are eager to learn.


Core Responsibilities

  • Change air filters and perform other basic HVAC upkeep tasks
  • Replace light bulbs and basic lighting fixtures
  • Perform basic painting and drywall patching
  • Clear minor floor drains
  • Escort unbadged vendors and visitors in accordance with airport security procedures
  • Assist senior maintenance technicians with larger repair and maintenance projects
  • Learn and use our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log completed work orders
  • Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and airport security procedures at all times

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 0-2 years of general maintenance, custodial, general labor, or related experience - no prior facility maintenance experience required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic hand tool knowledge
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badging
  • Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures closely
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • No specialized trade certifications required - we'll help you grow into them
