We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support daily HR operations for our client in Lake Oswego, OR. This contract position is fully on-site and offers a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The person in this role will help keep recruitment activities organized, maintain accurate records, and assist with onboarding and employee-related documentation. This opportunity is well suited for someone who is comfortable working with HR systems and managing sensitive information with care.
Responsibilities:
โข Coordinate interview calendars, meetings, and other HR-related scheduling activities to keep recruitment processes moving efficiently.
โข Assist with onboarding tasks by preparing documents, tracking onboarding requirements, and helping employees complete necessary paperwork.
โข Maintain organized personnel files and HR records while ensuring documentation is complete, current, and handled confidentially.
โข Support compliance efforts by reviewing forms, monitoring required records, and following established HR procedures and guidelines.
โข Help administer candidate screening steps and related recruitment documentation in alignment with company practices.
โข Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR function, including communication, record updates, and follow-up with internal stakeholders.
โข Enter and update employee and candidate information within HR systems accurately and in a timely manner.
โข Contribute to employee relations support by responding to routine inquiries and directing issues to the appropriate HR contacts when needed.
โข Previous exposure to human resources administration or a strong interest in building experience in an HR support role.
โข Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to learn new systems quickly in an entry-level environment.
โข Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and related office tools used for scheduling, communication, and organization.
โข Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records accurately and handle multiple tasks with consistency.
โข Familiarity with onboarding activities, hiring workflows, and employment documentation processes.
โข Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment when working with sensitive employee information.
โข Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with dependable organizational and coordination abilities.
