Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.Qualifications:To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:
Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
Experience:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
  • Led national HR service delivery programs, ensuring HR support, personnel actions, and customer service for all institutions and offices were accurate, timely, and aligned with federal and DOJ requirements.
  • Managed nationwide personnel action processing, including corrections, retirement packages, and service computation dates, ensuring actions were legally sound and consistently applied.
  • Oversaw HR technology platforms and modernization projects, including HRIS administration, system upgrades, workflow automation, and digital process improvements across the Bureau.
  • Directed national workforce analytics and reporting, developing dashboards and forecasting tools that helped leaders make data-driven decisions about staffing, turnover, and workforce trends.
  • Led HR compliance, quality assurance, and audit programs to identify issues,
    guide corrective actions, support field HR offices, and maintain alignment with federal law and personnel policy.
