Job description

Position Summary:ย Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resource Manager is responsible for the delivery of human resource functions at Gove County Medical Center, including talent acquisition, retention, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.ย  This position is responsible for guiding and implementing HR strategies which align with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Develops and implements HR strategies, programs and initiatives.
  • Promotes positive leadership by an environment of teamwork, open communication, customer service and effective problem solving.
  • Develops financial budget to achieve corporate strategies and financial targets, manages areas of responsibility to optimize revenue and reduce costs.
  • Manages policies and work instructions for compliance with regulatory standards and to improve the overall operation of the facility.
  • Creates a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization and that emphasizes the mission, vision and values of the organization.
  • Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, assigns objectives and sets priorities, conducts and administers salary adjustments.
  • Oversees strategic recruitment and selection plan.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
  • Provides employee relations support to employees and leaders.

Qualifications:ย 

Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in human resource management or business administration or a related field
  • Three years of progressively responsible HR relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge in organizational planning, compensation, employment recruitment, and employee relations; strong inter-personal and written communication skills; a working knowledge of personal computers.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate effectively with many different people with various education levels.

Preferred:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in a related field with an emphasis in human resourcesย 
  • Prior management and healthcare experience

Infection Control: Initial and Ongoing training in dealing with infection control. Trainings could include but are not limited to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids and biohazardous materials as it applies to your daily work environment.

Patient Demographic Information (information used to identify a person): Name, Date of Birth, Address, Race, Marital Status, Religion.

Financial Information/Insurance (information related to insurance, billing and payment): Billing Information, Payer Name, Payer ID, Account Balances, Plan Elements Covered, Payment Information, Payment Rates.

Clinical Information (information that describes a patientโ€™s health status): Diagnosis, Reports/Medical Notes, Test Results, Problem List, Procedures, History and Physical.

Coding Information (clinical information that is in (alpha) numeric format): ICD-9 Codes, Rev Codes, CPT Codes.
