Job description

Goodwill Industries of Michiana is seeking an experienced Human Resources Administrator II to support and enhance HR operations across the organization. This role is designed for a seasoned HR professional who not only ensures administrative excellence but also contributes to process improvements, compliance oversight, and employee support initiatives.
As HR Administrator II, you will take a more active role in recruitment coordination, HR compliance, payroll and benefits administration, and continuous process improvement. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource for employees and help drive efficiencies that strengthen HR service delivery.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, values accuracy and dependability, and is ready to take ownership of projects that improve HR systems and processes.Compensation:

Responsibilities:
  • Administers HRIS database by updating employee data and adhering to changes in processes
  • Assists with various assigned tasks such as: I9 auditing, reporting requirements, license tracking, maintaining the company's online job opening list, etc
  • Assists with various assigned tasks such as: insurance plan administration and communication, unemployment claims issues, maintenance of employee benefits and reporting, etc
  • Provides support to the Human Resources department with employee inquiries, including email, telephone, and in-person visitors
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms and documents
  • Answers basic employee questions about human resources policies or offerings
  • Assists with processing employee status changes and benefit enrollments in the HRIS system
  • Inputs HR related data and compiles standard reports for management review
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent or the ability to obtain through the Excel Center
  • Two years of administrative experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in or the ability to use HRIS software to maintain employee records, generate reports, and streamline HR processes
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites
