Job description

Clinical Dietitian Responsibilities:

Responsible for assessing and implementing the nutritional needs of patients, staff, physicians, and community to provide the best clinical outcome, and developing nutritional programs to offer the best clinical outcomes.

  • Assess the nutritional status of all at-risk patients, pediatric through geriatric as designated by department standards and implement nutrition interventions as appropriate.
  • Counsel clients on appropriate population specific nutrition interventions.
  • Access, retrieve and document required information through hospital electronic health record.
  • Develop and implement programs to meet the needs of physicians, patients, staff and community.
  • Acts as a resource of nutrition information for Food Service to implement normal and therapeutic diets.
  • Receives and enters telephone orders from licensed independent practitioners for orders that are specific to the services provided by their department.

Clinical Dietitian Requirements:

  • Entry Level
  • One to two (1-2) years of clinical experience in similar type facility preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend English language.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in: Dietetics or Nutrition Science
  • Completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship, coordinated program, Graduate program.
  • Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin within one year of hire.
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.

Salary Range: Up to $38.00/hr (based on experience)

  • Night and evening shift differential
