Underwriting Services Associate

HDI Global Insurance Company is a commercial property and casualty insurer headquartered in Chicago, IL. As a wholly owned subsidiary of HDI Global SE, we manage the industrial lines division of the Talanx Group. Our comprehensive portfolio of products and services, combined with an international network of insurers in over 150 countries, enables us to deliver customized domestic and global insurance solutions for U.S.-based multinational companies. Our excess and surplus lines subsidiary, HDI Specialty Insurance Company, provides additional capacity for specialized and complex risks.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Services Associate to join our Underwriting Services Team. This entry-level role plays a critical part in supporting the underwriting process across various lines of business. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, thrives in a team environment, and demonstrates a strong commitment to data accuracy and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter underwriting data into internal systems for both new and renewal business.
  • Assist with premium allocation and invoicing tasks.
  • Issue policy documentation including policies, endorsements, and cancellations in accordance with service standards.
  • Perform final policy checks and ensure premium data is accurately recorded.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by the Underwriting Services Team Leader.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members, as needed.

Skills, Knowledge amp; Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education amp; Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Previous internship or experience in insurance, underwriting, or data entry preferred but not required.

Compensation amp; Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000, complemented by eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
