Join Our Team as a Floral Support Assistant at Schaaf Floral
Note: This posting is generated by Seeds of Creation LLC, an administrative services provider, who proudly supports a family of companies, including Schaaf Floral. This position is for a Floral Support Assistant working at Schaaf Floral.
Do you love the idea of working with flowers, learning a creative trade, and being part of a team that brings joy to others? Schaaf Floral is looking for upbeat, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals to join us as Floral Support Assistants during our busiest and most exciting seasons.
Whether youโ€™re exploring a new career path, returning to the workforce, or just love working with flowersโ€”this is a fantastic opportunity to grow in the floral industry.
Who We Are
Schaaf Floral is a locally loved flower shop in Fridley, just north of Minneapolis. Weโ€™ve been spreading joy through flowers for decadesโ€”whether itโ€™s a birthday bouquet, a wedding centerpiece, a heartfelt funeral tribute, or just a โ€œthinking of youโ€ moment.
But hereโ€™s the thing: weโ€™re not in it just for the flowers (though we think theyโ€™re pretty amazing). Weโ€™re here because we believe flowers have powerโ€”they help people say what words canโ€™t. We use the beauty of creation to help others express real emotions and meaningful moments.
Our team is built on excellence, teamwork, and purpose. We show up for each other, we put others first, and we take pride in the work we do.
And yesโ€”we work hard, move fast, and get messyโ€ฆ but we still love the smell of fresh roses in the air (even if we donโ€™t always have time to "stop and smell the roses").
What Youโ€™ll Do
As a Floral Support Assistant, youโ€™ll be right in the heart of the actionโ€”working closely with our designers, customer service team, and delivery crew to keep things running smoothly and beautifully. Your day might include:
  • Prepping fresh flowers (stripping, trimming, hydrating)
  • Wrapping and packaging completed arrangements for delivery
  • Processing incoming flower shipments and organizing inventory
  • Tidying and maintaining workspaces and supplies
  • Greeting walk-in customers and answering phones
  • Taking and entering orders with care and accuracy
  • Helping out wherever neededโ€”weโ€™re a team!

What Weโ€™re Looking For
This is an ideal entry-level position for someone who:
  • Loves working with their hands and has an eye for detail
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Brings a positive, can-do attitude every day
  • Is organized, reliable, and ready to learn
  • Communicates well and enjoys helping customers
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or creative fields is a plus, but not required. Weโ€™re happy to train the right person!
Job Requirements
  • Ability to stand, move quickly, and bend throughout your shift
  • Can lift up to 20 lbs frequently
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays during peak times
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive team
Why Youโ€™ll Love It Here
  • A creative, collaborative, and friendly workplace
  • Hands-on training in the floral industryโ€”great for aspiring floral designers, logistics coordinators, customer service professionals, or marketers
  • The satisfaction of making someoneโ€™s day, every day
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Opportunities for advancement

Ready to Grow with Us?
If youโ€™re looking for a meaningful, fun, and fast-paced job that lets you work with flowers and fantastic people, weโ€™d love to meet you. Join Schaaf Floral this seasonโ€”and maybe for many more to come.
Apply today and take the first step into the floral industry!
