BMC Labs is seeking a marketing specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-driven and self- disciplined person to help build, shape, and refresh our brands and product lines! The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial, “can do” attitude who is ready to make a big impact in a growing organization.

This position represents an excellent opportunity to implement many brand building and maintenance practices. The marketing specialist will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels. This is not a social media focused role, but instead an opportunity to use structured analysis, thought leadership and hard work to create market opportunities for the company. This position reports directly to the CEO.

BMC is willing to consider an entry level OR more experienced individual for this role. Training and guidance will be provided to help the candidate succeed.

Finding the right fit for our growing organization is most important.

Branding and Sales Support:

  • Assist in the development of brand standards for company-wide reference and use.
  • Updating existing company business materials, including product catalogs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and Excel documents to fit brand standard.
  • Assist in creating branded brochures/ flyers, posters and trade show content.
  • Product Literature maintenance, such as making text and photo edits to ensure product literature is kept current. Manage and distribute latest copies to website/team.
  • Write editorial content for trade publications, blog posts, social media accounts.
  • Assist the engineering dept by helping to lay out and assemble company documents in accordance with brand standards, such as manuals, user instructions or maintenance guides.
  • Take, edit, and organize marketing product photos and videos.
  • Maintain social media presence through online channels including LinkedIn.
  • Research best practices to reach target audience.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of an expanded new company website that is planned for late 2026.
  • Add additional product pages when needed (i.e. Industry specific pages, additional product pages etc.)
  • Add photos, videos, and downloadable PDF documents for customer convenience.

Competitive Analysis and Product Development

  • Understand and provide data and analysis on the competitive environment in the laboratory furniture industry.
  • Analyze and make new product development recommendations based on the competitive environment and customer insight.
  • Work with engineering to prioritize and develop new product offerings, including product launch.

Trade Show Planning & Execution:

  • Assisting with trade show messaging, show planning, packing and logistics. May travel to trade shows up to 1-2 times per year, generally in the US.
  • Ordering & maintenance of inventory related to promotional giveaways, company apparel, business cards etc.
  • Assist in maintaining industry association event schedule and researching new possible events.

F. Qualification & Skills

  • Associate degree (BA/BS preferred) or applicable experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, organizational skills and thorough documentation and record keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency with key Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Proficiency with Canva.
  • Ability to work with and learn various software systems.
  • Manages multiple projects under tight deadlines with acute attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written composition skills for press releases, media content etc.
  • Excellent work ethic, and very strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience or exposure to technical products a plus.
  • This is an in office five day a week role.
