About This Role

Northshire Day School is hiring a part-time multi-classroom educator to work in our early childhood classrooms in Manchester Center, VT. Candidate must be available to work between Monday through Friday 9:00am- 1:00 pm. NDS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.


What You'll Do

Candidates must be excited and enthusiastic about working with and educating young children, have the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment, proficient written and verbal communication, knowledge about the STARS program, early childhood licensing regulations and implementing a play-based curriculum. Preferred candidates will have skills and education in child development and learning, building family and community relationships, observing, documenting and assessing children, using developmentally appropriate practice, building quality curriculum following the Vermont Early Learning Standards, ensuring a healthy and safe environment and a commitment to growing as an early childhood professional. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Requirements

Preferred Candidates will have a VT Early Childhood Education Teaching License. Applicants with an A.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education (or 21 related college credits) and at least 1-year experience working young children will be considered. Exceptional trainees may be considered. Candidates must be available to work between 9:00am-1:00pm
