Job description


About This Role

The Early Childhood Curriculum Director is responsible for overseeing staff and curriculum development with our classrooms from ages 6 weeks up to ages 12 years.


What You'll Do
  • Provide daily support to teaching teams, offering coaching, feedback, and modeling best practices.
  • Attend regular training and professional development opportunities.
  • Support the use of EMTSS within each classroom, participate in the EMTSS Leadership Team and regular training.
  • Foster creative learning opportunities, program mission, and Vermont Early Learning Standards.
  • Ensure curriculum is being implemented with fidelity across all classrooms.
  • Monitor classroom environments, ensuring they are engaging, clean, safe and developmentally appropriate.
  • Assist with lesson planning reviews, assessment implementation, and family-teacher conferences.
  • Coordinate field trips for preschool-school age classrooms.
  • Support professional development, classroom observations, and annual evaluations.
  • Manage Teaching Strategies Gold and Ages and Stages Questionnaire platforms.
  • Monitor and ensure the use of Teaching Strategies Gold and Ages and Stages Questionnaire within all classrooms.
  • Support and provide classroom coverage when needed. Help manage daily staff coverage, scheduling adjustments, and break rotations.
  • Take leadership role in the absence of Program Director/Owner.
  • Report to Program Director and Center Owner.

Requirements

At least a bachelor's degree in a related field (ie; early childhood, education, human services, child development, etc.), Early Childhood Teaching License preferred.

Experience working in the childcare classroom.

Experience working in a leadership role.
