Job description

Description:

The IT Administrator is responsible for supporting the organization's daily technology operations across our office location. This position provides technical support to staff, maintains hardware and software systems, assists with servers and Microsoft 365 administration, supports cybersecurity initiatives, and works with outside vendors on larger technology projects.

This role offers broad exposure to nearly every aspect of information technology and provides an excellent foundation for advancement into Systems Administration, Cloud Administration, Cybersecurity, or IT Management. This is an entry level position where you can learn and grow your skillset. This is a fully in-office, onsite position.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for Windows desktops and laptops, including deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Active Directory user accounts, licensing, permissions, and security groups.
  • Support Microsoft Exchange Online, Teams, Zoom, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Assist with administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and File Services.
  • Configure and troubleshoot printers, conference room technology, network equipment, and other connected devices.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees by provisioning accounts, deploying equipment, and configuring workstations.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software, licenses, and technology assets.
  • Support proprietary software applications used throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate with managed service providers, software vendors, and technology consultants on escalated support requests and implementation projects.
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, software updates, vulnerability remediation, backups, and security best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in technology improvement initiatives and special projects.


Requirements:

Qualifications:


• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred.

• One to three years of IT support, Help Desk, desktop support, internship, or junior systems administration experience.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• A desire to continuously learn and grow professionally.

  • Ability to work fully in-office, as this is an onsite position.


Preferred Technical Experience

Working knowledge of:

• Windows 10 and Windows 11. Mac OS is also a plus but not required.

o File Shares

• Audio/Visual systems for conference rooms and virtual meetings is a plus
