We are hiring Project Coordinators to support our construction operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, ambitious, safety-conscious and comfortable taking initiative. As a Project Coordinator, you'll work closely with both field and office teams, supporting projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on position with direct involvement in day-to-day site activities. Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a liaison between project managers, office staff, subcontractors and field crews.Promote and maintain a strong safety culture. Complete inspections, toolbox talks, track compliance and ensure all paperwork is complete.Manage locate requests (including first calls), monitor validity periods and ensure information is communicated and understood by crews before work proceeds.Understand project budgets and monitor costs as the work progresses. Review final costs against estimates.Actively assist with onsite labour tasks, training and day to day field support as required.Assist with resource planning including material quantities, equipment needs and crew scheduling. Attend project meetings and communicate changes as required. Review drawings and job scope documents, assist with site measurements, grades, survey support and documentation.Track QC testing, sample availability and ensure results are communicated promptly.QualificationsPost secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.Strong leadership, communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans and technical documents.Learn and apply traffic accommodation plans (TAS), Eco Plans and Alberta Transportation requirements.Proficient computer skills and a valid Class 5 license.With over seven decades in business, Border Paving Ltd. offers long term stability, consistent work and opportunities for growth.
