By evaluating a customer's mechanical and technological applications, they are able to lay out a strategic plan for the customer's future equipment needs. This position is a primary point of contact for their customers which assists to build a strong foundation with our customers to continue our working relationship for years to come.

Essential Job Functions
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with current and future customers in a defined sales area and within the store
  • Expert knowledge of products while staying current on features and benefits
  • Understanding and implementation of Company sales strategies
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized during peak foot traffic
  • Experience with agriculture, lawn & garden, & outdoor power equipment
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of used equipment values and be able to competently assess for trading purposes
  • Monitor competitive products and activity
  • Provide management with accurate sales forecasts for financial planning
  • Be aware of trends in your customers' businesses
  • Maintain current knowledge of financing options available to customers
  • Conduct new equipment field demonstrations
  • Work as a team not only within the sales department, but with other departments to consistently create a positive customer experience

Requirements
  • Proven sales strategies
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships.
  • Ability to respond quickly, effectively, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
  • Ability to handle and resolve interpersonal conflict

  • Ability to analyze and interpret sales reports
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time
  • Intermediate-level computer skills, including the ability to learn new business systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be self-disciplined and able to work independently
  • Valid Class E driver's license or better and clean driving record
  • Expected to work 40-hours plus per week as required to meet customer demands
  • Working knowledge of Agricultural Equipment
  • Safety-conscious

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with walking, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, pulling, leaning, and twisting
  • Ability to lift items up to 75lbs
  • Fitness to work in adverse and extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior agricultural and/or construction equipment experience
  • Forklift certification

Candidate is required to successfully pass the pre-employment screenings which includes background check, pre-employment drug testing as well as driving record evaluation.
