Overview
JST is currently seeking a IT Support Specialist to join our team.
This is a full-time position at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.
As an IT Support Support Specialist in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) you will help empower the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission ensuring positioning, navigation and timing superiority. You will serve a s a member of a team providing combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR order of battle and PNT-related successes and threats. You will support the Government with the integration, at the theater strategic level, of C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into JNWC's strategic and operational objectives.
IT Support Specialist Responsibilities
  • You will provide technical support for end user devices hardware (laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices) and peripherals, software (COTS, GOTS, Web), network infrastructure (routers, switches, etc.), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), audiovisual display systems, duress alarms, analog and wireless technologies
  • Schedules and coordinates customer desk-side support for the installation of new software or to performance hardware or software break/fix activities
  • Sets-up and configures new end-user equipment including laptops, mobiles devices, printers, copiers, VTC units, VoIP phones and other peripherals
  • Investigates and resolves all connectivity issues related to end-user, site infrastructure and IT equipment
  • Actively participates in construction project planning, providing detailed requirements for facility IT specifications
  • Responsible for the on-site coordination of break/fix installations with hardware maintenance providers, providing after hours support when required
  • Executes and maintains IT infrastructure inventory information, completing regularly scheduled inventories of all IT cabinets and IT cabinet equipment, updating pictures, drawings and asset information
  • Recommends customer service and IT process support enhancements by researching and recommending new technologies and processes

IT Support Specialist Qualifications
  • 5 Yrs. Relevant experience.
  • BA/BS technical degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.

IT Support Specialist Desired Qualifications
  • Information Assurance Level Technician experience in a large gov consulting environment.
  • IAT Level II Certifications: CompTIA CySA+/CompTIA Security+/EC-Council CND

Required Clearances and Screenings
  • MUST have an active TS/SCI security clearance
  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance
