Information Technology System Technician
MTA, Inc is currently seeking an IT System Technician to support Huntsville City Schools IT Department.
Responsibilities:
In your role as IT System Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Installs, configures, and tests network devices and operating system software.
  • Maintains documentation on the current configuration.
  • Maintain and repair devices.
  • Maintain computer software and hardware which are connected within the network, including phones and intercoms, Child Nutrition Program equipment, and classroom display technology.
  • Maintain network printers in the district.
  • Assist users with problem resolutions in detail.
  • Imaging laptops and desktops with special software for special programs and other departments within the district.
  • Maintain computer accounts, as necessary.
  • Assist with management software for iPad and Chromebook refresh.
  • Assist with managing the incoming and outgoing inventory.
  • Develop and provide troubleshooting instructions for end users.
  • Maintain three different devices. (Windows, Chromebooks amp; Apple)
  • Provide dedicated IT technical expertise to the Child Nutrition Department in support of the point of sale (POS) system, the digital menu system, the temperature sensor and alarm software, and other projects as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and test all classroom educational technology.
  • Assist with digital and physical curriculum materials as required.
Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated individual with strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn.
  • Working knowledge of PC hardware, networking protocols, and mobile operating systems.
  • Familiarization with Google Chrome Applications.
  • Familiarization with troubleshooting and setup of printers, laptops, and network equipment.
Education Requirements:
Associates Degree in IT related field and one (1) years’ experience; substitution High School Diploma or GED with (two) 2 years’ experience.
