Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in Benicia, CA to hire an Accounts Receivable professional. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with as little as one year of accounts receivable expertise looking to expand your hands-on skills in billing, cash application, and collections while working cross-functionally with internal teams.
This role is fully onsite and offers the chance to join a collaborative environment focused on accuracy, efficiency, and strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and issue customer invoices in alignment with agreements and internal processes
• Apply incoming payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card) & ensure proper allocation within the system
• Review aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances through professional outreach
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies or unapplied transactions
• Partner with internal departments to resolve billing questions or disputes
• Maintain accurate customer account records and ensure compliance with company policies
• Evaluate credit profiles and assist with setting or adjusting credit limits
• Monitor high-risk accounts and support efforts to reduce potential bad debt exposure
• Provide reporting on receivables and collection activity to leadership
Qualifications
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Entry-level experience or internship exposure in accounts receivable or general accounting preferred
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a plus
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups; exposure to macros a plus
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage collections professionally
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and general compliance practices
