Stryde Research

Plano, TX โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Job description

Most BD jobs are "send 50 emails a day and hit your number." This isn't that.
We're Stryde Research, an SMO (Site Management Organization) that partners with specialty physicians โ€” dermatologists, rheumatologists, pulmonologists and others โ€” to bring clinical trials into their practices. We handle the regulatory, coordination, and sponsor side. The physician just sees patients. It's a genuinely good deal for them, and your job is to get them in a room long enough to hear it.
We're growing fast โ€” 20+ sites across Texas, Louisiana, and New York โ€” and we need someone who can identify the right physicians in a market, walk into a clinic cold, and have a conversation that doesn't sound like a pitch.
What you'll actually be doing:
Researching specialty practices and physicians in target markets. Finding the right contact โ€” sometimes the doctor, sometimes the office manager โ€” and figuring out the best angle in. Sending cold emails and LinkedIn messages that get responses. Making calls. But also getting in the car, walking into clinics, and talking to real humans face to face. Following up without being annoying. Handing off warm conversations to leadership for close.
You'll travel within the DFW area regularly and occasionally to other markets we're building โ€” think Houston, Louisiana, and the Northeast. Nothing crazy, but if "some travel" makes you hesitate, this probably isn't the right role.
You will be also supporting our sponsor and CRO outreach efforts as needed.ย
Who we're looking for:
You've done outbound BD, medical sales, or clinical research outreach before. You know how to research a target, personalize an outreach, and show up to a clinic without an appointment and still leave with a follow-up scheduled. You can hold a professional conversation with a physician or office manager without freezing up. You're comfortable with no and not slowed down by it.
You don't need to know everything about clinical trials on day one. You do need to be curious enough to learn fast and credible enough that a physician takes you seriously.
Bonus if you have experience in pharma sales, CRO/SMO environments, medical device, or specialty healthcare. Not required but meaningful.
What we're not looking for:
Someone who needs a script for every call and a warm intro for every clinic visit. Someone who's never knocked on a door they weren't invited through. Someone who conflates "activity" with "results." If this posting felt too long to read, we're probably not a match.
Compensation:
Base salary plus performance incentives tied to physician partnerships activated. We pay for results, not just effort.
To apply:
  • Send a short email to info@stryderesearch.com with the subject line "BD Role โ€” [Your Name]." Skip the cover letter. Instead, tell us in 3-4 sentences: what specialty or market you'd target first if you were us, and how. We'll know immediately if you read the post and if we're both a good fit.
