The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated Engineering Student to join our fast-paced Development Operations team! You will have the exciting opportunity to be part of an active engineering team responsible for the planning, execution and optimization of operations related to well completions and/or well abandonment activities. Become a part of one of Canada's largest independent oil and gas producers. 

  • Job location: Calgary, AB - Head Office
  • Work schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours per day (Monday - Friday)
  • Term length: 4 months
  • Term start: May 2027
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support an engineering team through data acquisition and analysis for optimization projects, well records reviews, lookback reviews and ongoing operations and engineering support
  • Acquire hands-on experience with several widely used industry software programs including Wellview, Accumap, Tableau and Power BI
  • Gain exposure to all aspects of well operations in drilling and completions

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an Engineering degree program (Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Energy, and Petroleum/Oil & Gas disciplines preferred)
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out of province license
  • Motivated, collaborative, organized, and able to manage competing priorities
