HOW YOU’LL HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS? 

The Business Intelligence (BI) & Insights Analyst I is a SME responsible for providing expertise on Business Intelligence projects and the communication of business insights via data modeling and visualization. Utilizes appropriate development tools and technologies and serves as a liaison between the business unit and IT. Collaborates with business leads, IT resources, and senior management with a focus on requirements analysis, development, and implementation of BI reporting and Analytics capabilities using data visualization. Responsible for the maintenance and continual enhancement of BI dashboards and Analytics capabilities. Under direct supervision, develops BI solutions, performs analyses, generates reports and presentations, and updates and maintains business data for use in the evaluation of business strategies and decision making.

 

Advancement to a higher level is based on value added to the Company through increased duties, responsibilities, and accomplishments. Advancement is not automatic, i.e. not based solely on time in the job, but will be based on the employee’s performance, qualifications, and the business and/or technical needs of the department.

1) Business Intelligence & Insights Analyst I

HOW YOU’LL HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS

The Business Intelligence (BI) & Insights Analyst I supports the delivery of business insights through data modeling, reporting, and visualization. This role assists BI initiatives by developing and maintaining dashboards and analytics solutions that support informed decision-making across the organization.

Working under direct supervision, the Analyst I collaborates with business users, IT partners, and senior team members to gather requirements, build BI assets, and ensure data accuracy. This position focuses on learning BI tools, applying best practices, and contributing to analytics solutions that improve operational performance and business strategies.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must Haves:  

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Statistics or related field.
    • 1 year of related work experience. Related experience may consist of developing and implementing Relational and Multi-Dimensional Models, developing BI visuals using Power BI, executing SQL queries or a SQL Server environment, and/ or using ETL processes to combine multiple data sources to be used in data analytics.
    • Strong verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Effectively communicates technically complex information. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
    • Basic knowledge in data visualization and dashboard design using Power BI or similar tool. Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server.
    • Basic knowledge in Relational and Dimensional Data Modeling. Working knowledge of business software and hardware technologies while staying current and maintaining technical knowledge of BI technologies. Basic knowledge of Excel.

    • Advanced degree in related field
    • Intermediate knowledge of SQL, VBA, ARCGIS, DAX Language, JavaScript, and/or SAP HANA.

The Business Intelligence (BI) & Insights Analyst II serves as a subject matter resource for Business Intelligence projects and the delivery of actionable insights through advanced data modeling and visualization. This role independently leads BI efforts that translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.

The Analyst II collaborates closely with business leaders, IT partners, and senior management to drive requirements analysis, solution design, and implementation of BI reporting and analytics capabilities. With moderate supervision, this role performs complex data analysis, leads presentations, maintains and enhances dashboards, and manages data assets that directly influence business strategy and operational decisions. The Analyst II may also provide guidance to junior team members or contract resources.

Must Haves:  

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Statistics or related field.
    • 3 years of related work experience. Related experience may consist of developing and implementing Relational and Multi-Dimensional Models, developing custom BI visuals using Power BI, executing complex SQL queries in SAP HANA or a SQL Server environment, and/ or using ETL processes to combine multiple data sources to be used in data analytics.
    • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Effectively presents technically complex information.
    • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Intermediate knowledge in data visualization and dashboard design using Power BI or similar tool.

The Business Intelligence (BI) & Insights Analyst Sr is a technical and strategic subject matter expert responsible for driving enterprise-level BI solutions and delivering advanced business insights through data modeling, analytics, and visualization. This role provides thought leadership on BI strategy, architecture, and emerging technologies that advance the company’s analytics maturity.

Operating with minimal supervision, the Analyst Sr partners with executive leadership, business units, and IT to lead cross-functional BI initiatives from concept through implementation. This role owns complex analytics solutions, troubleshoots advanced technical challenges, and ensures data governance, integrity, and scalability. The Analyst Sr plays a key role in shaping data-driven decision-making, mentoring team members, and ensuring BI solutions align with long-term business objectives.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must Haves:  

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Statistics or equivalent discipline.
    • 5 years of related work experience. Related experience may consist of developing and implementing Relational and Multi-Dimensional Models, developing custom BI visuals using Power BI, executing complex SQL queries in SAP HANA or a SQL Server environment, and/ or using ETL processes to combine multiple data sources to be used in data analytics.
    • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Effectively presents technically complex information. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
    • Advanced knowledge in data visualization and dashboard design using Power BI or similar tool. Intermediate knowledge of MS SQL Server.
    • Expert knowledge in Relational and Dimensional Data Modeling. Expert knowledge of business software and hardware technologies while staying current and maintaining technical knowledge of BI technologies. Excel acumen.
    • Advanced programming experience in one of the following C#, VB, VBA, Java, JavaScript, Python, R.

    • Intermediate knowledge of data forecasting techniques. This would include applying statistical knowledge, regression and implementing stochastics for developing forward demand curves using historical data.
    • Ability to apply forecasting using probability.

The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a Baseline Medical Examination as part of the pre-employment screening once an offer has been accepted.
