About Us Kindling Ventures is an Internet-focused development and investment company based in San Francisco. Our projects include Custom Spaces, a marketplace for commercial real estate services, Townsquare, which provides working capital loans to small businesses, and Craftkit, a marketplace for makers. Our investments include Medium, Patreon, Shyp, Science Exchange, and SoFi.

About the role We're looking for an entry-level back-end engineer to join our engineering team. He/she would work closely with our existing team to help build our various projects as well as our internal tools. What skills do you need.

We use Python/Django for our back-end development, and collaborate via git using feature branches in a continuous deployment environment. Strong candidates would also have experience with RESTful APIs, demonstrable verbal and written communication skills, and have a penchant for UI/UX design. What kind of people would be ideal for this role.
