LOCATION:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Canton High School

OVERVIEW:

The Health Science Instructor will provide instruction of the standards associated with the Michigan Department of Education Office of Career and Technical Education's CIP 51.0000.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the Health Sciences/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General, CIP 51.000ย 

OR

Be eligible for an Annual Occupational Authorization (AOA):ย  Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4,000 hours of paid recent (within the past six years) and relevant work experience in health care and current appropriate industry licensure.

ย  ย  ย 2. ย Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or any other certified/registered health care provider, preferred.

ย  ย  ย 3. ย American Red Cross Certification, preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Teaches the state approved standards for CIP Code 51.0000.
  2. Updates the CIP Self-review each year.
  3. Updates/revises curriculum each year.
  4. Other duties as assigned by CTE Administrator.

EVALUATION:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Certificated Personnel.
