Job Description

As an Agile Transformation Coach for a client in Washington, D.C., you will lead and drive large-scale Agile transformations within a complex SAP ecosystem, leveraging the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology. Your role will involve coaching, training, and advising teams and leadership on Agile practices, fostering a collaborative and continuous improvement culture, and working closely with stakeholders to enhance Agile adoption and measure its effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and certify SAFe 6 courses across various roles (SA, SP, RTE, SSM, SASM, etc.) and facilitate SAFe Collaborate.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement OKR frameworks for progress and performance tracking.
  • Drive Agile transformation within the SAP ecosystem (S/4 Hana), emphasizing Lean-Agile practices and SAFe methodology.
  • Advise on Agile operating models and governance structures.
  • Conduct AgilityHealth maturity assessments, recommend growth strategies, and facilitate related workshops.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders, teams, and functions on SAFe practices.
  • Serve as a role model in Agile values and principles, exemplifying success patterns.
  • Facilitate key LPM (Lean Portfolio Management) and ART (Agile Release Train) events.
  • Support Agile tool implementation and adoption, including SAFe for Enterprise, AgilityHealth, and Atlassian tools (Jira Align, Confluence).
  • Develop Lean-Agile training materials and onboard new team members.
  • Champion Communities of Practice to encourage Agile cross-functional learning.
  • Identify and resolve organizational impediments to improve team productivity and quality.
  • Develop and monitor Agile adoption metrics to track and accelerate transformation.
  • Cultivate an environment that supports autonomy, transparency, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Foster lean thinking to improve flow, reduce cycle times, and minimize inefficiencies.
Qualifications
  • SAFe 6 Practice Consultant (SPC) Certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience coaching Agile teams.
  • 5+ years in engineering, IT, or related fields.
  • Experience guiding Agile portfolios, budgeting, and transitioning from Waterfall to Agile in regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, AgilityHealth).
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Quarterly travel along the Northeast corridor for PI Planning events.
