Job description

The Agile Coach plays a critical role in enabling the SAP S/4HANA transformation by driving Lean-Agile adoption, coaching teams and leaders, and improving delivery maturity across Agile Release Trains to ensure consistent, high-quality value delivery and business alignment.
Agile Transformation and Coaching Excellence:
Lead the adoption of SAFe and Agile practices across SAP S/4HANA programs
Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and Agile teams to improve
Agile maturity, self-organization, and delivery effectiveness:
Drive mindset shift from traditional SAP waterfall delivery to iterative, value-driven execution
Provide training, workshops, and coaching to embed Lean-Agile principles across teams
Establish good practices, playbooks, and standard operating procedures for Agile delivery
ART and Team Enablement:
Support Agile Release Trains in adopting SAFe practices and improving execution
Guide teams in backlog refinement, story writing, estimation, and Agile ceremonies
Enable effective collaboration across SAP functional, technical, and integration teams
Ensure alignment between team execution and business priorities across SAP modules
Foster high-performing teams with a focus on quality, predictability, and continuous delivery
PI Planning and Execution Enablement:
Coach teams and leaders in PI Planning preparation, execution, and follow-through
Ensure proper backlog readiness, dependency identification, and capacity planning practices
Support Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, and other ART events to improve execution
Guide teams in delivering PI Objectives aligned with business outcomes and SAP roadmap
Drive adoption of Inspect and Adapt practices for continuous improvement
Delivery Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
Analyze team and ART performance using metrics
Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities across SAP delivery lifecycle, ensuring consistency of Agile practices across ARTs
Facilitate retrospectives, root cause analysis, and problem-solving sessions
Promote DevOps practices, automation, and continuous integration within S/4HANA delivery
Drive adoption of Lean principles to improve flow and reduce waste
Governance and Standards Alignment:
Ensure adherence to Agile governance frameworks, quality standards for SAP delivery
Align Agile practices with enterprise architecture, compliance, and SAP template standards
Support implementation of Agile metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms
Stakeholder and Leadership Engagement:
Partner with executive leadership, business owners, and program stakeholders
Provide coaching to leaders on Lean-Agile mindset, decision-making, and org. change
Facilitate alignment between business strategy, SAP roadmap, and Agile execution
Act as a trusted advisor for Agile adoption across the SAP S/4HANA transformation
Communicate progress of Agile adoption, risks, and improvement opportunities SAP S/4HANA Transformation Enablement
Align Agile practices with SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle:
Enable coordination across fun ctional, technical, data, and integration workstreams
Support delivery alignment with SAP Activate methodology and hybrid AgileWaterfall rollout model
Qualifications:
SAP S/4HANA & Technical Understanding
Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle
Experience working with SAP functional areas such as Finance (FI), Integrated Supply Chain, Lead to Cash and Information Technology Outsourcing etc. โ€ข Familiarity with SAP integrations, data migration, testing cycles, and release management
Understanding of SAP ecosystems including SAP BTP, middleware, and integration platforms
Ability to collaborate effectively with Solution Architects and technical teams SAFe and Agile Expertise
Certified in SAFe frameworks SAFe Program Consultant
Proven experience coaching teams in scaled Agile environments and supporting ARTs
Strong understanding of roles, ceremonies, and practices across team, program, and portfolio
Experience facilitating PI Planning, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives
Hands-on experience driving Agile transformation in large-scale enterprise programs
Leadership and Coaching Skills:
Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to influence without authority
Proven ability to drive behavioral change and Agile mindset adoption at all levels
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage organizational resistance and enable transformation at scale
Program and Delivery Expertise
Experience in large-scale transformation programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders
Ability to identify and resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments
Strong analytical mindset to drive continuous improvement using delivery metrics
Experience working in complex environments with distributed teams and global stakeholder
Salary Range: 177860-241340 a year
