The work we do at Markel gives people the confidence to move forward and seize opportunities, and you’ll find your fit amongst our global community of optimists and problem-solvers. We’re always pushing each other to go further because we believe that when we realize our potential, we can help others reach theirs. Join us and play your part in something special! Join the U.S. & Bermuda Center for AI Enablement to help drive enterprise-wide AI adoption at scale. In this role, you’ll partner with business leaders to identify and advance high-impact AI opportunities that improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience. You will guide teams through AI use case development, support solution selection and execution, and connect stakeholders to the right tools, resources, and delivery paths. This role also promotes scalable, well-governed AI practices by supporting standardization, tracking outcomes, and ensuring responsible and secure use aligned to enterprise standards.

  • Guide business stakeholders through AI use case development, problem definition, benefit realization, and implementation planning.
  • Facilitate intake, assessment, and prioritization of AI opportunities, directing work to the appropriate business-led, technology-led, or vendor-supported delivery path.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate solution options, including buy-versus-build decisions and platform selection.
  • Connect teams with AI resources, subject matter experts, solution architects, and delivery partners to accelerate execution.
  • Help establish repeatable patterns, reusable assets, prompt libraries, and use case inventories that support scaled adoption and reduce duplication of effort.
  • Share success stories and emerging opportunities to demonstrate the art of the possible and inspire broader adoption across the organization.
What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of specialty insurance experience required and 1-2+ years of experience using AI tools preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders to identify and deliver technology, automation, digital transformation, or AI initiatives.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into practical, scalable solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, consulting, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading change management, adoption, training, or capability-building initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, generative AI tools, automation platforms, and responsible AI principles.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Experience working across business and technology teams in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Pay information:
  • The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
