Job Summary

The Admin Assistant is an entry-level position with potential for long-term growth with L&S Mechanical. This position will require an individual with strong organizational skills and possesses a working knowledge of computer skills such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. This position performs duties associated with a receptionist/administration role, which include filing, scanning, answering phones, greeting visitors, basic data entry, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail services.


General Responsibilities 

  • Submit required paperwork to start the process for each new project on a timely basis,
  • Receive, distribute and process a high volume of day to day paperwork and reports,
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the production manager, superintendents, warehouse personnel, the Home Office and outside vendors to ensure timely completion of job duties,
  • Serve as liaison between the shop and home office and
  • Order office supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of office support experience,
  • Must be proficient in basic computer skills that include but are not limited to data entry, scanning, email, Excel, vendor portals and company software,
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, communicate well and be committed to providing quality work,
  • Self-motivated to work predominantly alone in a warehouse office environment and
  • Perform the physical demands of the position - working indoors with long periods of time sitting; able to occasionally lift heavy objects in excess of 20 pounds.
