Job description

A well-established real estate firm with three business verticals is adding a Senior Associate to its Accounting and Finance team. This newly created role has a broad scope, covering everything from month-end close and FP&A to compliance, contract support, and systems administration. The position will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization and is based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and assist with financial statement reviews
  • Support data collection for tax filings and external audits, including 401(k) and workers' compensation audits
  • Assist with ASC 842 lease accounting and fund administration
  • Process and review expense reports and support client billing and invoicing
  • Handle accounts payable disbursements and bank reconciliations for affiliated entities
  • Manage jurisdictional registrations and compliance filings
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the company's ERP system
  • Assist with contract reviews in coordination with legal and finance teams
  • Support RFP submissions and manage new client registration portals and onboarding requirements
  • Support quarterly reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with project-level billing, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Support state and local tax reporting
  • Participate in firm-wide and finance team meetings and assist with cross-functional coordination and follow-ups
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system implementations
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial and operational projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2 years of prior experience in accounting, finance, or professional services preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Prior experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intact, Acumatica, SAP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint
  • Comfort with learning and implementing new technology and programs, including AI tools
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Interest in learning and growing within a finance organization
