Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure Services, the Sr. Enterprise Applications Engineer is responsible for keeping the desktop software, systems, and server software associated with the desktop software, and business solutions of the firm operational. The Sr. Enterprise Applications Engineer is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm's attorneys, advisors and staff, while maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. Above all, the Sr. Enterprise Applications Engineer must fulfill the needs of the firm in a manner which is consistent with the Firm's Core Values.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for regression testing methods, scripts, operational tracking and issue resolution of the mission critical applications deployed in the firm.
Design, implementation, integration, deployment and support of new Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) desktop and server business facing applications.
Ensure successful testing, implementation and transition to a production / steady state operating environment.
Serve as technical analyst with the ability to plan and manage the full life-cycle of a complex, multi-phase server application integration and implementation project, with multiple resources and across multiple departments.
Prepare detailed engineering specifications and documentation as necessary.
Communicate status and key business information effectively to both management and internal customers
Serve as 3rd level of escalation help desk support for department software service catalog assigned.
Act as the System Engineer for business facing desktop and server based firm applications. This includes hand off responsibilities to Desktop Engineers.
Maintain and execute industry best practices, by using a structured Software Development Life Cycle methodology including design, development, testing and deploying software on server applications
Who You Are:
Bachelors in Computer Science or relevant business experience.
Experience with iManage or similar Document Management System a plus
Experience with Intapp product suite a plus.
Demonstrated technical knowledge and expertise in the following:
Competent in current Microsoft operating systems
Windows Configuration, Analysis and Engineering
Network Connectivity and Analysis
Software Configuration, Analysis and Implementation
Competent in current Microsoft Office desktop environment
Administration, Architecture, Suite Dependencies
Features and Operational Support
Competent in Document Management application methods
Third Party integrations
Competent in SQL Database environments
Basic understanding of SQL Syntax, SQL Queries
Basic understanding of Database Structure
Legal COTS Applications
Formulate and define scope and objectives for the application / project delivery based on business need
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner
Strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, system users and other departmental business partners
