Description

SANY’s Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School is excited to announce the opening of an ENL Teacher position in the 2026-2027 Academic Year!


As a result, we are looking for an ENL Teacher. We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply! 


New York State ESOL Certification required.


The content of lessons varies depending on why the students are learning English. Each lesson aims to encourage students to communicate with one another using the structures and vocabulary they've learned and to improve the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

We need Teachers who will:

  • Provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum
  • Implement appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment to ensure comprehension of learning styles and student needs
  • Ensure lesson plans show modifications for differences in student learning styles
  • Have excellent content knowledge and pedagogy
  • Welcome the use of analytics and data to help drive instruction and promote learning
  • Appreciate regular feedback, accountability and the rewards that come with doing a great job serving our students & communities
  • Have great classroom management
