Job description

Title:
Engineering Tech IV KBR's Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of Defense, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. As a trusted partner with a proven history in mission technology, KBR collaborates closely with clients to develop innovative and effective solutions. With a strong ethical framework, KBR prioritizes data security, privacy, and responsible information management to ensure mission success. KBR is seeking to add an Engineering Tech IV, with multi-discipline skills in support of the Multi Mission Data Link System (MMDL) in Norfolk, VA. This work is in support of a government alteration installation team (AIT) performing work on selected Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers for the U.S. Navy. Roles & Responsibilities: * Perform duties as Alteration Installation Team (AIT) member supporting the Multi-Mission Data Link System (MMDLS) on select U.S. Navy ships.
* Installs, maintains, repairs, and modifies the AN/SRQ-4 Radio Terminal Set (RTS) using shipboard systems, engineered drawings, statements of work, and technical manuals.
* Assembles and installs cables and equipment, employing techniques and materials in accordance with technical standards, specifications, and engineered directives. Basic Qualifications: * Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.
* Education: AA or AS degree in Engineering (additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of AA/AS degree)
* Experience: Six (6) years of practical experience in a technical field to include at least Four (4) years of experience with the installation of such equipment AND One (1) year of experience with the design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings. Experience may be concurrent. * SRQ-4 experience is required. Navy experience is required. * Ability to move, lift, climb ships mast, and carry objects weighing up to 50-lbs. * Ability to travel on naval vessel for short periods of time. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience supporting MMDL Programs
