Reach Beyond with PALFINGER as an Engineering Project Manager, based in Council Bluffs, IA. In this role, reporting to the Head of Engineering, NAM, you will lead and support product development projects that deliver high customer satisfaction, strong quality, and ontime results. This position is a key bridge between local engineering teams and global product development, ensuring efficient execution at the site level. It is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on innovative lifting solutions while collaborating with crossfunctional partners in a global organization.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and support product development projects, ensuring excellence in customer satisfaction, quality, cost, and timetomarket.
  • Serve as the local engineering bridge to the global Product Development Project Manager and act as deputy when needed.
  • Coordinate engineering resources in collaboration with site engineering leadership, Product Line leadership, and Centers of Excellence.
  • Drive technical decisionmaking, workflow optimization, and effective verification and validation planning within projects.
  • Partner with Product Management to support market understanding, product improvements, and identification of new opportunities.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including project management exposure.
  • Solid understanding of industrial equipment, including structures, materials, hydraulics, electrical design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with verification and validation planning and crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of CAD and ERP systems (e.g., Creo, SAP) and a collaborative, growthoriented mindset.
