We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to join our team. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you support our team effectively. The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Division delivers mission-critical solutions, specializing in cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. Our division's commitment to innovation and security enables us to provide critical solutions across defense, intelligence, and national security. Join our team and contribute to the next generation of defense technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports the development, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data pipelines and processes
  • Assists with development of automated hardware and software test procedures
  • Assists with assembly, test, and validation of electrical hardware
  • Creates and maintains documentation
  • Collaborates with hardware and software engineers on ongoing projects, actively participating in team meetings and contributes to assigned tasks
  • Supports testing, debugging, and issue resolution for hardware and software, documenting problems, and applying fixes
  • Proactively engages in learning new tools, technologies, and concepts to develop technical skills and contribute effectively
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a Utah State University student pursuing a degree/certification in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years remaining in school
  • Candidates should have some familiarity in one or more of the following: reading and understanding electronic schematics, hardware and software test and troubleshooting procedures, computer networking, working with and programming FPGAs, and programming in Python, C, C++, and/or JavaScript
  • Must be able to work effectively; both independently and as a team member
  • Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summers
  • The successful candidate must be able to obtain a DoW security clearance; eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship
