Position Overview


As a Sales Specialist, you’ll play a key role in connecting customers to impactful energy programs and services. You’ll work directly with homeowners, renters, and businesses to identify energy-saving opportunities, present program benefits, and help them access upgrades that make their spaces more efficient and affordable.

This position combines relationship building, consultative sales, and community outreach. The ideal candidate thrives on making a difference—helping people improve their homes while supporting a cleaner energy future.

Requirements:
  • Identify, and close sales opportunities for energy-efficient solutions
  • Educate clients about available programs—like the Energy Savings Assistance Program—and guide them through the qualification and enrollment process.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical and project management, to ensure client satisfaction from proposal to completion.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess opportunities, present recommendations, and close deals.
  • Stay informed about the latest energy efficiency programs, technologies, and utility incentives.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals and performance targets.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven sales experience with a track record of exceeding targets preferred.
  • Active Home Improvement Sales Certificate (HISC) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for helping others improve their homes and lives through energy solutions.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results oriented.
  • Maintain good driving record, valid driver’s license, insured vehicle and willingness to travel regularly (including occasional overnight stays).
