We are seeking an Account Manager with an interest in energy and water efficiency to take a significant role in the implementation of programs that will deliver and expand our offerings in Jacksonville. This position strongly prefers experience with public speaking as well as strong writing, editing, and research skills.

NOTE: Only those candidates who live in or around the Jacksonville, Florida area will be considered.

What you will be doing:

  • Work in support of various utility sponsored programs that encourage energy and water efficiency projects are successfully executed
  • Act as customer's advocate to ensure the customer obtains accurate knowledge of program offerings
  • Develop a data driven outreach strategy to recruit and retain new and existing customers to participate in energy and/or water efficiency programs
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify potential energy and/or water efficiency upgrades for customers
  • Increase customer awareness of benefits resulting from utility program incentives
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 50% to 80% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree (candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)
  • 1+ years of experience managing successful client relationships and related project management activities
  • 1+ years in Energy Efficiency, Electrification and/or Water Conservation related role
  • Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

What we would like you to have:

  • A background with utilities or commercial products
  • Experience with the energy and/or water efficiency market in Florida
  • Experience working with commercial and/or industrial companies
  • Experience with energy efficiency technologies and practices is highly desirable
  • Economic analysis and familiarity with energy efficiency program implementation
  • Knowledge of the existing network of distributors, contractors and construction companies serving the southeast
  • Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs
  • Utility experience and understanding of Demand Side Management (DSM) program implementation
  • Certified Energy Managers, Certified Lighting Professionals, or Certified Energy Auditors
  • Experience with ENERGY STAR, LEED, and other program platforms
  • Experience performing energy audits and energy savings calculations
  • Proficient with suite of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Salary Band Range for this opportunity: Although the range below is wider to accommodate growth within the job, this position will have a starting pay range of $55,000 to $60,000 based on % match of qualifications/experience/responsibilities, location, and other.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$50,364.00 - $85,618.00Florida Remote Office (FL99)
