Residential Energy • Field Services • Utility Programs
Bilingual Spanish preferred
We're looking for an Energy Efficiency Specialist to perform on-site energy analysis at residential customers' homes, educate customers on their findings, and motivate them to adopt cost-effective energy conservation measures. This is a full-service technical and consultative role - you'll troubleshoot equipment, promote energy efficiency programs, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and represent the company at community events. The ideal candidate is self-directed, a strong communicator, and comfortable working in the field daily.
Candidates must be located within 30 minutes of Sebring, FL. Lake Wales candidates will be considered. Candidates located north of Lake Wales are not suitable for this role.
Pay: $21.00- $31.00 per hour DOE
What you'll do
  • Perform on-site energy audits at residential homes - inspecting HVAC, duct systems, attic insulation, windows, roofing, and appliances
  • Consult with customers on energy usage, present findings, and recommend energy efficiency programs and improvements
  • Inspect and support Energy Management systems; serve as technical liaison between customers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Follow through on all customer concerns with vendors, suppliers, and contractors through resolution
  • Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and homeowner association presentations
  • Conduct training for call center and field personnel on energy management and efficiency programs
  • Support storm restoration activities and special projects as assigned

What you need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Valid driver's license - must drive personal vehicle to customer appointments (up to 100 miles/day)
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in attics and crawl spaces, and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to wear a respirator (half-face), steel-toed boots, hard hat, and eye protection
  • Located within 30 minutes of Sebring, FL

Nice to have
  • Bachelor's degree (Energy Management or related field preferred)
  • Energy Auditor Certification • HVAC, builder, or inspector license
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Consultative sales experience • Conflict resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of energy efficiency practices and utility regulatory environment
