About This Role
Join a dynamic team where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving key initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a visionary leader, driving transformation and innovation for software-defined energy solutions at Carrier.
  • Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for embedded control systems, IoT platforms, cloud energy solutions, applications, and energy orchestration software stacks.
  • Distill B2B customer wants and needs into requirements that are valuable for the customer, usable for the users, feasible to build within an acceptable timeframe, and most importantly viable as a business for Carrier.
  • Collaborate with business development and go to market teams to ensure the resulting solutions have strong business viability (ROI) for both Carrier and key stakeholders,
  • Define system architecture for energy management, focusing on demand response, user interfaces, and grid integration. Work closely with our federated architects across engineering and digital.
  • Work closely with the Research and Design team to perform qualitative and quantitative research to inform product requirements.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of the Energy Operating System to ensure performance, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Deliver a fully integrated IoT and orchestration stack, from real-time controller hardware/software to grid integration and mobile app UX.
  • Coordinate the integration of energy-oriented features into current Carrier homeowner and channel cloud tools and applications.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance, achieving the highest security standards across all energy solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, leading the requirements and technical integration process between Carrier and utility companies.
  • Leverage AI-driven predictive analytics to optimize system efficiency, enhance customer insights, and improve energy forecasting and demand response.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure to support large-scale data aggregation, monitoring, and control systems.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, developers, and analysts.
  • Drive project success by effectively managing timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Build strong connections with cross-functional senior leaders across Carrier.
  • Develop talent, ensuring the team excels in both innovation and execution within the energy market.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in IoT, cloud, applications, energy systems, or grid integration.
  • 3+ years experience leading cross-functional teams in large-scale technology and energy projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in electrical engineering, computer science, energy systems, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in launching new products to market.
  • Expertise in AI, and data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of demand response, energy orchestration, and grid management.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a global organization.
  • Experience with electric utility regulations, certification bodies, and standards that relate to the electric utility space

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $174,500.00 - $348,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to both short and long-term incentives, subject to plan requirements.
