What is end user testing?

An End User Testing (UAT) job involves evaluating software, applications, or systems from the perspective of the end user to ensure they meet business requirements and function as intended. Professionals in this role create test cases, execute testing scenarios, document defects, and provide feedback to developers and stakeholders. They help identify usability issues, functionality gaps, and overall user experience concerns before final deployment. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

What are the typical day-to-day responsibilities for someone in end user testing?

In an End User Testing role, your daily responsibilities may include creating and executing test cases based on product requirements, documenting defects and usability issues, and working closely with developers to verify resolutions. You'll often participate in feedback sessions, report findings to project managers, and help ensure the product meets real-world user expectations before release. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design and support, is also common. This variety keeps the role engaging and allows you to make a significant impact on the final user experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in end user testing, and why are they important?

To thrive in End User Testing, you need a strong understanding of software functionality, attention to detail, and an ability to identify usability issues, typically supported by experience in quality assurance or user acceptance testing. Familiarity with bug tracking tools (such as JIRA), test management systems, and knowledge of test case creation are commonly required, and certifications like ISTQB can be advantageous. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset help you effectively interact with developers and stakeholders. These expertise ensure you can provide valuable user-centric feedback, detect issues early, and contribute to delivering high-quality, user-friendly products.

How do I become an end user testing?

To become an end user tester, you should have good communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with the product or software being tested. Gaining experience through online testing platforms or certifications in quality assurance can improve your chances, and being able to provide clear feedback is essential in this role.

What you'll be part of
Circle is committed to visibility and stability in everything we do... our employees live by our company values: High Integrity, Future Forward, Multistakeholder, Mindful, and Driven by Excellence.
What you'll be responsible for
You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Circle's consumer USDC applications, accountable both for the quality of the user experience and for the growth outcomes it produces. You will define the product experience across the full user journey - from first touch through habitual use - and build the acquisition and growth plans that scale it, including the experimentation and lifecycle systems behind them. You will build and lead a team of product managers spanning core consumer experience and growth, and partner across Design, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, and Compliance to deliver.
What you'll work on
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Circle's consumer-facing USDC experiences across web and mobile
  • Define the end-to-end user experience - onboarding, funding, holding, sending, spending, and earning - with a bar for craft comparable to leading consumer apps
  • Build and execute the acquisition and growth strategy: define the funnel, growth model, and channel mix that scale new-user acquisition and reduce CAC
  • Own activation, engagement, retention, and monetization, using lifecycle and habit-forming loops to grow DAU/MAU and LTV
  • Stand up a rigorous experimentation practice - A/B testing, funnel analysis, and growth metrics instrumentation - to drive continuous, data-driven improvement
  • Build and lead a team spanning core consumer product and growth, setting priorities and coaching PMs
  • Partner with Marketing and Data Science on attribution, referral/viral mechanics, and paid/organic channel optimization
  • Partner with Compliance and Risk to ensure a fast, compliant consumer onboarding and money-movement experience
  • Define the North Star metric and supporting KPIs, and report progress to executive leadership
What you'll bring to Circle
  • Extensive consumer product leadership experience at scale, including building and leading teams, at companies known for consumer product and growth craft
  • Demonstrated ownership of both product experience and growth outcomes - a track record of moving acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization metrics
  • Deep fluency in growth methodology: funnel design, experimentation/A/B testing, lifecycle marketing, and growth modeling
  • Strong product taste and a high bar for consumer UX, paired with the analytical rigor to back decisions with data
  • Track record of setting strategy and driving execution from concept through measurable, large-scale user growth
  • Ability to lead through influence across Design, Engineering, Marketing, Data, and Compliance
  • Clear, concise communication with the ability to align stakeholders around vision and trade-offs
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in fintech, payments, wallets, or consumer finance products
  • Familiarity with crypto, stablecoins, or digital assets, or the ability to make complex financial products feel simple to mainstream users
  • Experience scaling a consumer product from early traction to mass adoption
  • Exposure to AI-driven personalization, experimentation, or growth automation
