The Digital Workspace Platforms Engineering Manager leads the engineering strategy, architecture, and lifecycle management of Deloitte's enterprise digital workspace platforms, including end-user computing, M365, collaboration tooling, and productivity services. This role is responsible for translating platform strategy into scalable, reliable, and secure engineering solutions that enable more than 150,000 US practitioners to work seamlessly across hybrid environments. The Sr. Manager oversees a team of platform engineers, drives technical roadmaps, governs platform standards, and ensures deep integration with adjacent enterprise systems including identity, security, and service management. Success is measured by platform engineering quality, system reliability, deployment velocity, and the tangible impact delivered to the practitioner experience.

As a Digital Workspace Platforms Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Lead the engineering design, build, and lifecycle management of enterprise digital workspace platforms including M365, endpoint management, and collaboration tooling
  • Develop and maintain platform engineering roadmaps aligned to CTO strategy, practitioner experience goals, and enterprise architecture standards
  • Oversee a team of platform engineers, providing technical direction, performance management, and professional development

From endpoint configuration to M365 service management and collaboration platform engineering, this team builds and maintains the technology backbone that enables client delivery, internal collaboration, and practitioner productivity at scale. The team operates at the intersection of enterprise architecture, security, and end-user experience - making a direct and lasting impact on how Deloitte works.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in digital workspace engineering, end-user computing, or enterprise platform engineering
  • 6+ years of technical expertise in M365 platform engineering including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID including but not limited to:
  • Strong understanding of zero-trust architecture, endpoint security, and enterprise identity management 1+ year leading platform engineering teams and managing technical roadmaps
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional engineering programs with executive-level stakeholder communication
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, or a related field and/or additional relevant professional experience
  • Ability to travel 10-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or equivalent certification
  • Experience with DEX (Digital Employee Experience) observability platforms such as Nexthink or Lakeside
  • Familiarity with MCP/A2A agentic protocols and AI-integrated workspace tooling

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000 to $179,000.
