Job Description
Main Responsibilities
  • Complete work as assigned by Electrical Maintenance Manager, Heat Treat Maintenance Planners, Electrical Maintenance Team Leaders, Heat Treat Shift Coordinator or other management personnel
  • Ensure outside contractor employees adhere to company and OSHA standards in safety
  • Work with all outside contractor personnel to efficiently maintain the Heat Treat Department equipment as needed
  • Enforce company practices and policies with outside contractors as well as maintenance personnel
  • Contribute to and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Correct electrical issues and work to improve process and equipment to avoid future breakdowns
  • Interact with maintenance system, gathering work orders and updating the information in the system
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as required and enter work orders
  • Perform necessary equipment walk through as needed
  • Continuously improve preventative maintenance program
  • Adhere to company and international standards in quality and environmental procedures
  • Follow all company practices and policies
  • Perform and/or assist in performing any other job requirements

About You
Competencies and Experience
Required:
• Minimum three (3) years of heavy industrial maintenance experience (including AC/DC circuits/devices)
• Minimum three (3) years' experience working with, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial drives
• Experience with 3-phase voltage
• In depth knowledge of the functions, usage, and troubleshooting of RTD's, LVDT's, encoders, tach's, etc.
• Familiar with installing, calibrating and troubleshooting electrical instrumentation
• Ability to read, develop, and follow blueprints and wiring schematics
• Sound understanding of handling and using electrical tools and equipment
• Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical units
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to handle several tasks at a time
Preferred:
  • Heat treating experience - quench & temper
  • Profibus experience, PLC networks, network switches
  • Mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems (servo and proportional control)
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills
  • Mid to high-level computer skills
